#OutandAboutAva checks out Bass Babies Program @BassMuseum

The new season of Bass Babies started March 4th and my Mommy was very interested in bringing me to check out the program for 2-4 year olds at the Bass Museum, located at 2100 collins avenue, Miami Beach, fl 33139
"This program is for the museum’s youngest visitors and those who care for them. Bass Babies is a weekly class where toddlers and their caretakers work closely to discover creative and fun ways to interact with art through song, gallery activities and art making."
We joined the session 3: discovering the senses March 11 th class which focused on "hear".
The intimate class held from 10-11:30am was led into singing "Old McDonald Had A Farm" by the teacher who also played the guitar. The children were encouraged to sing along and mimic the animal sounds. Later in class a recording of sounds were played for the children to identify. Puppets were also introduced to the kids and an instrument to listen to. We then created our own instruments, shakers made out of rice or beans from recycled bottles. The kids especially loved decorating them. After a light snack of goldfish crackers and water provided by the museum , we headed out to the courtyard for more song and play with the newly made shaker instruments. The museum provided a safe and fun environment for me to learn. We can not wait to return on Tuesday!

My first trip to Disney Park: Animal Kingdom!

I love the movie the Lion King ! Very apropo for a Leo baby such as myself born to a Leo Mother. So my father decided it would be fun to go to Animal Kingdom for Christmas. My mom watched this video for quick tips on the park ( http://youtu.be/lFt5IZ7SjQ4). We drove four hrs from Miami with my Tata Nadia and spent Christmas Eve in Orlando. We sung all my favorite carols: Jingle Bells. Frosty the Snowman. Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer. And after a festive dinner at Benihana, we went to bed anticipating our day and my first Disney park experience at Walt Disney's Animal Kingdom!
The temperature was perfect (60s-70s) , all us girls rocked our Mouse outfits and I got to see my favorite movie come alive via the Festival of the Lion King perfomance( http://youtu.be/oqQxVGZ5RH0 ). Here are a few pics capturing my favorite moments at Animal Kingdom! Enjoy !               Love, Avadorable =)

April Showers & May Flowers Part 2

Here are some favorite pics from April/May!  Enjoy!

April Shower & May Flowers....part 1

Hello,Hi, Hola, Bonjour, Hey  (yes I've increased my vocabulary in the greetings dept) family!
It's been a busy two months..spring has passed and summer's here at last! Well, in South Fl it always feels like summer but the season means my birthday is near! I am now telling those who ask that I am "almost 2".  Not only did flowers bloom this spring, but so did I! Here's what I've been up to:
In April,  me and my friend Mel graduated from Mommy&Me(in our cases..Daddy and We) swim class at Flamingo Park Pool.
I dressed up as a cheerleader to participate in the 13th Annual International Art of Storytelling Family Festival
Also in April, my mommy started her own blog www.sobesavvy.com in which I was featured in two articles thus far. Be sure to check it out!
Bye-bye, Adios, ciao,au revoir, sayonara, peace out! ( yes, I'm saying all that now too)

March Marvels..Part II...Happy Easter!

Hello Family and Friends ,

Although I was not a big fan of that huge Easter bunny(yes I cried and did not want to sit on his lap..sorry Mom/Dad), I did enjoy all the marvels that he brings.
We attended a Bunny Brunch at Brio with some friends, and checked out The Eggstravaganza at Gulfstream

and my parents /Tata orchestrated my very own Easter egg hunt during the Japanese Spring Festival at the Miami Beach Botanical Gardens

Hope you all had a Happy Easter! Until Next time.....#outandaboutAva

March Marvels...part I

Hello Family and Friends,
Happy April the first !  Just when I got the hang of pronouncing "March...Easter... Bunny" there is a new month upon us! I do look forward to what Mommy/Daddy have in store for me this month (one of them being swimming classes with Daddy) but here is a look back at all the marvels of my month of March.
I rode the bus and then the metromover train for the first time to attend Family Fest at the Adrienne Arsht Center. I had lots of fun doing arts and crafts with Mommy and can't wait until their next event!
Fun is my favorite word

   I love being creative
Riding round on the metromover train ..until next time #outandaboutAva
